It is an easy and important thing to do regularly. A dirty filter makes your heating and cooling system work harder and therefore wastes energy and money. It slows down the air flow. A clean filter also prevents debris from building up in the system. If dust or dirt gets into your system it can lead to costly repairs.
Here is an easy way to remember to change your filter every month…every time you get your electricity/gas bill in the mail, go and change your filter. It will save you in the end!
